TexARTS enriches the lives of people of all ages & backgrounds living in Lakeway, the Lake Travis region and greater Austin through programs which celebrate the human spirit, ignite the imagination and inspire future generations to dance, act, sing, create and enjoy the performing and visual arts. In doing so, TexARTS will strengthen these communities and unite individuals through productions, classes and community events which uplift, educate and transform as only the arts can. Ultimately, TexARTS seeks to become a center for excellence in the education, creation and performance of art. Such a center will draw great American artists, teachers, students and audiences to the Lake Region to live, learn, create and share their passion and expertise with the region's students and audiences for decades to come.

TexARTS will conduct artistic & educational productions and programs of excellence each year. Chiefly, TexARTS will produce professional, Broadway-quality classic American Musicals and plays; present professional, state & nationally-recognized artists; educate individuals from age three through senior adult, from all walks of life, utilizing top working professionals from Broadway, top university programs and other great arts centers.

In a fiscally responsible manner, each year TexARTS will:

1) Produce a “Broadway Series” of two or more full-scale classic American musicals each year, incorporating Broadway and regional professionals and, as appropriate, TexARTS Academy students.

2) Produce an “Off Broadway Series” of two or more professional, smaller musical productions incorporating Austin, regional & national professionals and, as appropriate, TexARTS Academy Students.

3) Mount professional, juried art shows, incorporating the best local, regional and/or national visual artists.

4) Provide classes in music, dance, theater and visual art, taught by working professionals from throughout the region and augmented with guest artists from Broadway, great American dance, theater & music institutions

5) Afford youth performance opportunities in music, dance and theater via a “Youth Performance Series” including ballet, classical theater, musical theater and other fully-staged productions, as well as student visual art showcases.

6) Provide free & reduced tuition for families in need as well as talent-based scholarships for participation in TexARTS classes.

7) In the longer-term, provide scholarship opportunities for students moving on to study the arts in college, and/or for artists in need to study, create, produce and/or perform.

8) In the longer-term, create a state-of-the-art center for performing & visual arts that would include professional theater & musical theater producing venues, visual arts gallery display areas and performing and visual arts instruction studios in the heart of the Texas Capital Lakes Region.
