Selena Smith

Selena Smith (Jazz & Hip Hop) began teaching in 1999 with Marching Auxiliaries Dance based out of Dallas, with which she performed and taught camps nationwide. Before moving back to the area, she taught for the Adagio School of Performing Arts near Chicago. She received her B.S. in Dance from Texas State University while dancing with Roustabouts Dance Company in Austin. In 2008, she began dancing and choreographing for Austin Metamorphosis Dance Ensemble. She has a great passion for dance and feels that movement allows us to express ourselves when words fail. In her classroom, she likes to maintain a fun and positive atmosphere while building the foundation for proper technique and body awareness. She also encourages creativity through the use of music and choreography, and loves the opportunity to share her passion with her students.
