Mary Ann Funk

Mary Ann Funk is originally from Falfurrias, Texas. Her since-deceased husband's family, and her sons still, headed up much of the banking in that area. She has served on the Board of Directors for that bank - the First National Bank of Falfurrias - for the past 25 years. She moved to Austin several years ago and was primarily a stay-at-home wife and mom. Her volunteer works include Chairman of the County Library Board, Presbyterian Day School Board and a Deacon and Elder in the First Presbyterian Church, among others. In Lakeway she's been active in the Women's Club and various focus groups, the Singalongs, and with women's golf at the Hills of Lakeway and with teh Lakeway Church. She holds a BA from UT Austin in Latin American History and Government and an MA in 18th Century British History, and was certified to teach public school. She is passionate about TexARTS as a child who studied piano, voice and tympani and who appreciates the opportunities which TexARTS offers youngsters. She is also a subscriber and donor - having donated $10,000 to support the creation of the music room and other smaller amounts intermittently, mainly relating to events or children's activities. Having been a long-time Lakeway resident she now resides in The Hills.
